CHRISTMAS IN KAYSVILLE 1899

-- Boys buy your holiday candies at M. J. Proudfoot's. She has an elegant assortment. A half ton of candy and nuts arrived last week. -- Professor Linford and family of Logan are expecting to spend Christmas in Kaysville.

-- H. J. Sheffield Store has extra fine turkey birds this year for the holidays. They average 17 pounds each.

-- The Oregon Shortline Railway Co
mpany expect to have their new station house finished by Christmas so agent Thomason will be able to begin his labors in the new quarters on New Years Day.

-- The holiday goods that are left at Sheffield's store after Christmas will be sold at cost.

-- One of the most delightful features at the Presbyterian Church was a Christmas duet by Lester and Ernest Gleason. These little fellows are ages 8 and 10 and yet they played the piccolo and cornet with precision and accuracy of masters. An encore was insisted upon.

-- Elder Ernest Marston is expected home for Christmas.

-- H. J. Sheffield would like to thank all his customers for their patronage at his store during the past year and wants to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

-- Stewart's special sale is no bluff. It will continue every day until the end of the year. Everybody should call at Stewart's and buy their winter supplies.

    Kristine Murdock

Kristine added these special entries to her Kaysville Kinks posts on the Facebook group, Our Kaysville Story. They give you an idea of the goings on in Kaysville and Fruit Heights during the holidays.

Kaysville Kinks were originally published on the the Facebook group page, Our Kaysville Story.  Click on the link to join the group page.

Kristine is an amazing lady who loves the town she grew up in, her family, and the color purple.  She has a passion for the history of Kaysville, Layton, Fruit Heights, and Farmington.  (In the beginning Kaysville or Kay's Ward encompassed these 4 towns).  Kristine is also involved with the Kaysville Fruit Heights Museum of History & Art.  She serves on the executive board as well.  We are lucky to have such a great lady.
