  • KAYSVILLE KINKS - #64 IN SERIES - APRIL 1896
  • William Wallace, a well known character about Kaysville, has once again deserted his wife and 2 children. This desertion is a rascally piece of work, for it is said the family are in an almost destitute condition, no home and no means of support. Mrs. Wallace has a great many friends and relatives who will see to it she and her children do not suffer.
  • Arbor Day was quite generally observed as a holiday in Kaysville, although receiving heavy storms made tree planting impracticable and consequently people were deterred from making a proper use of that day. Arbor Day observances were held in the Music Hall at 10:30am. The public schools united in giving a pleasing and appropriate program.
  • Swan and Co. was granted a retail liquor license. -- Construction work on the District No. 2 reservoir will be commencing in a few days.
  • John G. M. Barnes has commenced breaking ground for a handsome brick residence to cost upward of $3,500.
  • The following city appointments have been made: Henry H Blood, Auditor of Public Accounts; H. J. Phillips, supervisor of streets; John Barton, sexton and quarantine officer; John H. Blood, jailer; Frank Williams, pound keeper; and T. Francis Roueche, water master
  • Miss Vinnie Larkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Larkins and Fred B. Williams were united in Holy Matrimony Wednesday in the Salt Lake Temple.

Kaysville Kinks were originally published on the the Facebook group page, Our Kaysville Story.  Click on the link to join the group page.

Kristine is an amazing lady who loves the town she grew up in, her family, and the color purple.
