Kaysville Kinks #50 Mark Beazer

KAYSVILLE KINKS - 50TH IN SERIES - DECEMBER 1894 - The LDS Quarterly Conference was held here last Saturday and Sunday. It was unusually well attended. The Apostles spoke about the folly of men becoming so interested in politics as to abuse each other and injure each others character. They did however encourage people to take sides according to their political conviction but use good sense and judgement. -- John Barton, our furniture dealer, received a shipment of goods in his line Monday. -- County Clerk Phillips and Co. returned recently from their hunting grounds in the Lost Creek region, in possession of a deer and elk. The clerk's in the company certainly will not be without venison this time. -- One more of the early settlers of Kaysville has been called to leave this sphere of action and has gone to that "bourne from whence no traveler returns." After a lengthy and painful illness, Mark Beazer passed away quietly and peacefully at 6 o'clock on Thursday. His constitution had been so weakened by his lingering illness that the grim messenger of death has welcomed him as a liberation from sufferings. Mr. Beazer was 69 years of age. Heart disease, dropsy and lung troubles caused his demise. He served the people of Kaysville as school trustee for several years and was also one of the officers in the militia organized by the people of this territory some 20 years ago. He leaves a wife and 11 children. PHOTO: Mark Beazer 1825-1894 Find A Grave #kfhmuseumha

Kristine is an amazing lady who loves the town she grew up in, her family, and the color purple.
